Get ready for the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 

Staying true to its original form, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 has made some major leaps with its evolution over the years. Porsche has recently introduced the GT3 and we want to cover some of the highlights of the sports car. 

Performance 

Making use of every second, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 has a top track speed of 197 mph and has the ability to go zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds. The 4.0-liter high-revving flat-six naturally aspirated engine outputs up to 502 horsepower. 

Design features that enhance performance 

For additional downforce, there is a new swan-neck mounted rear wing and large slats on the rear diffuser. To optimize brake cooling, there are extended openings on the front fascia. The hood is made with carbon fiber and integrated air outlets. 

More technological possibilities 

Reflecting on past 911 models, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 has a GT3 Sports steering wheel with PDK gearshift paddles in Dark Silver, a non-slip steering wheel rim in black Race-Tex and a selectable track screen. Other features include Porsche Connect, Porsche Track Precision App and Porsche Voice Pilot for added connectivity on the road or when you are away from your vehicle.

Porsche eBike Cross

Go off the beaten path with the Porsche eBike Cross. This bike has a powerful motor, which is newly developed by Shimano. Features to the bike include Magura-MT Trail high-performance brakes which have extra-large, heat resistant brake disc s, a mechanical Shimano XT 12-fold shifting system and adjustable Crankbrothers Highline seat post.

Porsche eBike Sport

Perfect for daily rides, the Porsche eBike Sport has a powerful and ultra-compact Shimano EP8 motor to give support for up to 15.5 mi les per hour. This bike has a Shimano electronic gear shifting system, Magura high-performance brakes and M99 LED lights. Other features include Magura upside-down suspension fork, Fox rear shock absorber and smooth-running tires.

A unique rear carrier for the Taycan Cross Turismo

The newly introduced Taycan Cross Turismo has a unique strong load-bearing rear carrier that can easily be installed. This carrier is perfectly designed for transporting the e Bikes due to its long wheel rails and high payload of 110 pounds. If you don’t have these bikes, the carrier still can be used universally for different types of bikes and has the ability to be upgraded to add a rail for a third bike.

The Open Book Canyon Country

The four common types of differentials

If you ever heard a mechanic talk about a differential or this is the first time you are hearing about it, we understand it is a component of vehicles not often discussed. We will be covering what a differential is and the different types. Keep reading to learn more about it.

What is a differential?

Connecting the wheels together, a differential takes power from the engine and sends it to the wheels. Different types control how much or little power makes it to the wheels. There are four common types of differentials on the market – open, locking, limited-slip and torque-vectoring.

What are the four types?

• Open differential – As one of the more common types of differential s which is found in most family sedans and economy cars, the open differential splits the engine torque in two and allows the wheels to rotate at different speeds.
• Locking differential – Also known as a welded differential, this connects the wheels so they go at the same speed. This made turning a little more difficult. Most full-sized trucks have this type of differential.
• Limited-slip differential – Found in sports cars, the limited-slip differential acts like an open differential by default. Once a wheel loses traction, then it shifts to act as a locking differential so there is more traction and control on the road.
• Torque-vectoring differential – With additional gear trains, the torque-vectoring differential can fine-tune the amount of torque delivered to each wheel.

Driving with children safety tips

Whether you just had a child or you’ll be taking on along for a ride, there are some tips to keep in mind before you take the trip. Keep reading to learn more.

Don’t leave them alone in the vehicle

To avoid any heatstroke or death, kids shouldn’t be left inside a vehicle. Many parents or caregivers forget children in the back seat. As a way to remind yourself, put your purse or wallet in the back or a toy upfront so it can act as a reminder.

Secure everything and everyone

From your children to luggage, everything and everyone should be secured. The booster seats and car seats should be tethered down to the latch system in the vehicles. These should come with instructions, so you know how to s ecure these seats properly. Any loose luggage or items should also be secured down as well. They could become dangerous in an accident or a hard brake.

Location is key

If your child is 12 and under or they weigh less than the average 12-year-old , they should sit in the back seats. Children under 4 years old should sit in a booster or car seat.

Put your phone down

As tempting as it may be to use, put your phone on do not disturb mode and use your phone when you are not driving. While distracted driving should never happen, it can teach young people bad habits.

There are certain ways to identify a vehicle and one way is by its VIN. If you are unsure where to find it, we have all the details you need. Keep reading to learn more.

Porsche VIN location

What is a VIN?

First of all, what is a VIN? A VIN is the Vehicle Identification Number. They are usually 17 characters long. Vehicles before 1981 may have a different amount. This number holds a lot of information about the vehicle like where it was built, the model year, the manufacturer and which plant assembled the vehicle.

Why do I need to know it?

The VIN helps decode some of the unique features of a vehicle and its specifications. You can quickly find out if there has been a recall on your vehicle model or any other important information. Your auto insurance, warranty claims and registrations will all require you to supply your vehicle’s VIN.

Where can I find it in my vehicle?

There are a couple of places the VIN may be. The most popular spot is on the front of the dashboard on the driver’s side. You can often see it if you stand outside of the vehicle and look through the windshield. If you are not finding it there, then you should check the driver’s side door pillar.
