Performance features of the 2020 Porsche Taycan

For those unfamiliar, the Porsche Taycan is an all-electric performance sedan. Although a lot of new electric models are deliberately designed to look unusual and futuristic, the Porsche Taycan looks a lot like other Porsche models, making its identity as an electric vehicle not part of its visual identity. Continue reading to find out how well this all-electric vehicle does when its powertrain is put to the test.

What can I expect from the 2020 Porsche Taycan?

How Fast is the 2020 Porsche Taycan?

Thanks to launch control, the 2020 Porsche Taycan is able to take off with high acceleration usually only seen by the highest performance gasoline vehicles ever made. The base trim, named the 4S, can go from 0-60 MPH in just 3.8 seconds. The Taycan Turbo is able to achieve a 3 second 0-60 MPH acceleration, but that isn’t the highest trim level. The Taycan Turbo S shaves down its 0-60 MPH time to 2.6 seconds.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2020 Porsche Taycan Have?

Pushing the Taycan 4S to its maximum with Overboost Power and launch control can make the vehicle generate 522 horsepower. Just like with acceleration, the two other trims are faster. The Turbo trim can produce a whopping 670 horsepower. This kind of power requires Overboost Power and launch control as well. The Turbo S can achieve an unbelievable 750 horsepower. Without the chance to do some track driving, you cannot get the 2020 Porsche Taycan up to its maximum horsepower, but the thrill of the drive is still there every time the Taycan starts up.

What are some of the performance features of the 2020 Porsche Taycan?

What is the Top Track Speed of the 2020 Porsche Taycan?

When it comes to acceleration and horsepower, the three trims perform differently, but that is not so when it comes to top track speeds. The Taycan 4S is still sluggish compared to the other trims, but it can still reach 155 MPH. The Turbo and Turbo S trims max out their track speeds at 161 MPH, but this will still outdo most all-electric cars.
