The Panamera comes with two powertrain options: a 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 engine for the base trim and a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine for the higher trims. A plug-in hybrid version of the Panamera is also available, which combines the 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 engine with a 17.9-kWh lithium-ion battery to produce a combined power output of up to 552 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. While the 2.9-liter engine delivers a respectable 325 horsepower and 331 lb-ft torque, the 4.0-liter engine has the potential to produce up to 473 horsepower. The sedan offers a fuel economy rating of 26 MPG combined.
